The first week of November has come and gone and while the weather has not quite reached consistent dropping numbers (no complaining here) the signs of fall are all around. Say goodbye to costumes and candy and hello to pumpkin everything. With so much to do and hardly enough time to jam it all in, here’s a list of the top five activities you absolutely cannot miss this month.
Stroll through the falling leaves
Take advantage of the fall foliage before the city turns white. Head to the Boston Common, the Esplanade or Back Bay to see some orange and red before it’s too late. Trust me, you’ll be missing the color in a few weeks.
Skating on the Frog Pond
Take a trip to the front pond early and have a chance to ice skate before it gets too crowded. Keep in mind, this opens depending on the weather and if (fingers crossed) it stays this warm, it might not freeze over until late November or early December.
Faneuil Hall Light Show
Mark your calendars on November 19 Faneuil Hall will host its annual tree lighting and light show. Over 350,000 lights will be used and performances will be done by the Boston Ballet and the Blue Man Group.
TD Garden
Sports fans (and non sports fan who go for the food)! Watch the Bruins or the Celtics battle rivals right in our backyard. (Want to avoid parking in the garage? No need to fear, SPOT is near).
Book a Vacation
Start planning now! With dropping temperatures right around the corner, treat your future self to a cruise getaway or book a flight to your favorite warm island. Plan it out now and your whole trip could come out to half the price.
Don’t forget to stuff yourself with pumpkin flavored everything because the cold is coming and we all are going to need that extra winter layer, am I right?
